EXTENDED DESCRIPTION

Trillium offers the ultimate in serenity and privacy. The nearest neighbors are on the eastern border and out of sight on their own vast acreage. Bordered amid the 5,000 acre Tunnel Ridge Recreation Site, Trillium has access to 30 miles of maintained trails and 5+ trail heads, including the well-known Sterling Mine Ditch Trail, providing a gorgeous backdrop for horseback-riding, mountain-bike riding, hiking and trail-running. Your private piece of the year-round Little Applegate River runs through the southern end of the property, offering a cool respite on hot summer days and a wonderful place to relax, unwind, meditate and simply enjoy the sound of the pristine river flowing by.

While private and remote, the road to Trillium is very well-maintained by the County and deliveries come directly to Trillium’s entrance on Little Applegate Road. There is also broadband internet available via Starlink that has revolutionized remote working in this area. Garbage and recycling service are at the intersection of Little Applegate Road & Yale Creek Road.

Trillium is an ideal location for an education/retreat center. With its unique NCU-zoning and many cabins there are opportunities for creating an education-based retreat center which could house 15-20 people comfortably in the current state, and many more with cabin improvements and temporary domes/housing. In addition to the cabins, there is also ample space for camping in both tents and “on wheels”. The large communal kitchen is a certified “canning kitchen” on its own septic and offers an easy place to prepare meals for large groups. There is a great opportunity for profitable workshops and larger events that can support up to 200+ people.

Trillium has also been home to intentional communities offering folks who are desiring to live in community a place to live, grow food, and work together to steward land.

The property encompasses a variety of ecosystems, from the mossy riverside, willow-bordered ponds, cedar forests, meadows canopied in maples, and massive evergreens rising up towards ridges of oaks and manzanita. The wild plant medicine & food on this land is vast, clean and abundant. You will very likely see deer, turkeys, a myriad of birds, a local duck family and the Western Pond Turtle, a threatened species that love the Farmhouse Pond. This land is home to a variety of other, more private and less cozy species, such as cougar, bear, fox, coyote, raccoon, and bobcat.

Trillium is an integral part of the Applegate Community and you'll find your neighbors to be warm and welcoming. Communal gatherings and events occur frequently, offering a wonderful way to connect with neighbors and community.

Within a 30 minute drive you'll find an array of wineries to visit and appreciate local wines. Many of these wineries host events including music, theater, paragliding and harvest festivals. The town of Ruch offers a country store with the basic necessities, hardware store, thrift store, restaurant and bar. Another 15 minutes further and you can enjoy all that the historical town of Jacksonville has to offer including the Britt Festival – a gorgeous outdoor venue for live music – shops, wineries, restaurants, bars, hiking trails and the post office.
